Flowboo · iOS & Android
Our own released app combines offline play, connected accounts, cloud saves, and subscriptions.
Read the build storyWhat do you need the software to do?
A product for customers and an internal staff tool have different requirements. We start with the workflow and choose the platform around it.
iOS and Android apps
Mobile products built with Flutter or React Native. Define the account, payment, notification, and offline requirements around the main task your users need to complete.
Customer apps, membership products, learning tools, and interactive mobile experiences.
Custom business software
Replace a specific manual workflow with software that reflects how your team works. Plan permissions, imports, approvals, reporting, and integrations before choosing the screens.
Staff tools, job tracking, approval workflows, and connections between existing systems.
Web apps and customer portals
Browser-based applications for customers or staff who need a shared place to sign in, manage information, and complete a task. Include the admin side in the scope from the start.
Customer portals, dashboards, booking workflows, and subscription products.

These examples show the implementation work behind a mobile release. They are engineering evidence; your product needs its own scope and success measures.
Flowboo
Our own product · React Native & Expo
A puzzle app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Beyond the game screens, the project includes local progress, cloud saves, online challenges, and an optional subscription.
- Guest play alongside connected accounts
- Local data and backend integration with Supabase
- Subscription status and restoration
- Published App Store and Google Play listings
Flutter & Supabase
Questborne
A role-playing app combining a Flutter interface with server-side game logic, persistent state, and Google Play billing. Its architecture demonstrates how a mobile client, a backend, and third-party services work together.
The relevant question for a business app is similar: which work happens on the device, which needs a backend, and what should happen when a service fails?

The visible screens are only part of the build. A reliable proposal also covers who can access data, what happens offline, how payments work, and who operates the software after launch.
Bring a rough idea or an existing workflow. You do not need a technical specification to start a conversation.

Platforms and connections
iOS, Android, browser, or desktop; existing systems, imports, and offline requirements.
First release and budget
Essential features, acceptance checks, exclusions, and a budget range for feasibility.
Ownership and ongoing costs
Source code, accounts, handover, hosting, subscriptions, and maintenance responsibilities.
How we work together remotely.
Direct communication with the developer, an agreed scope, and reviews of working software.
- 01
Define the first useful release
Describe one user, their main problem, and the task they must complete. Separate the essentials from features that can wait.
- 02
Agree on the scope
Map screens, data, permissions, integrations, and acceptance checks. Agree on the deliverables, budget, ownership, and exclusions in writing.
- 03
Build and review working software
Review working features against the agreed workflow. Test important error states, account access, and the devices or browsers in scope.
- 04
Launch and hand over
Complete deployment or store submission, document account access and operating costs, and agree on any ongoing maintenance.
App and custom software development questions.
Can you build an app for both iOS and Android?
Yes. Codent uses Flutter or React Native for cross-platform mobile development. We choose the framework around the product, existing code, device features, and maintenance needs. Each platform still needs its own testing and store submission.
Do I need a mobile app, a web app, or custom business software?
Start with the task people need to complete. A mobile app can suit frequent phone use, offline work, and device features. A web app can suit shared workflows that need to open from a browser. Custom software is worth considering when an existing product cannot handle a specific, important part of your workflow. We can assess that fit before committing to a build.
How much does custom app development cost?
A useful quote needs a defined first release. Accounts, permissions, offline sync, subscriptions, integrations, and an admin interface can each add work beyond the visible screens. Share your main workflow, required platforms, three essential features, and a budget range; we can discuss feasibility and prepare a proposal with inclusions, exclusions, and ongoing costs.
Can you take over or improve an existing app?
Yes, subject to reviewing the code and release setup first. We assess the framework, dependencies, backend, tests, and access to the store accounts before recommending a repair, a staged update, or a rebuild. Please do not send passwords or private source code through the enquiry form.
Do you help with the App Store and Google Play?
Store submission support can be included in the project scope, along with builds, screenshots, listing information, and responses to review feedback. The stores make the approval decision, so approval dates are not guaranteed. Developer account fees and third-party services are identified separately in the proposal.
Who owns the code and what happens after launch?
Source-code ownership, repository access, hosting and store accounts, handover, and any third-party licences are agreed in writing before development. Ongoing support is scoped separately around bug fixes, operating-system updates, monitoring, or new features, so the responsibilities and costs are clear.
Do I need to be in Edmonton to work with Codent?
